Industrial Container Services Acquires Drums, Inc.
MONTEBELLO, CA - Industrial Container Services, LLC of Montebello, CA (ICS) announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the poly drum reconditioning and distribution business of Drums, Inc. based in Tampa, Florida. The Reconditioning operations will be incorporated into the ICS Zellwood, Florida plant. Distribution activities will continue in Tampa, under the guidance of Marc Wahlquist, former owner of Drums Inc. and long time member of the Reusable Industrial Packaging Association.
"As a reconditioner of steel drums and IBC's, Industrial Container Services recognizes the strategic opportunity to expand our product line with poly drum reconditioning and increase our distribution presence in the Southeast." states Jerry Butler, ICS Eastern Regional Manager.
"With reconditioning and distribution facilities in Charlotte, NC, Blacksburg, SC, Atlanta, GA, and Miami, FL, the addition of Drums, Inc. will allow ICS to better serve our customers in the Tampa area." states Dan Bartley, ICS Eastern Regional Sales Manager.
