Industrial Container Services, LLC Acquires Steel Drum Reconditioning Facility located in Reading, Ohio from Cincinnati Drum Service, Inc.
MONTEBELLO, CA- Industrial Container Services, LLC (“ICS”) of Montebello, California announced today that it has acquired the Reading, Ohio business operated by Cincinnati Drum Service, Inc. (“CDSI”) and all of the reconditioning machinery and equipment and inventory utilized at the facility. CSDI had operated the business as Cincinnati Drum Service.
CDSI, a privately held industrial container reconditioner, shall continue to operate its two remaining divisions: Indianapolis Drum Service Division a reconditioner of intermediate bulk containers (“IBC”) and plastic drums located in Indianapolis, Indiana and Long Brothers Bag Co. Division a distributor of diversified flexible packaging located in Ludlow, Kentucky. A spokesman for the Long Family said “The Family has proudly served the reconditioning industry for 63 years and based our decision to sell on the economic climate today as well as the shortage of raw containers. We are confident ICS will continue to supply our customers’ container needs with the same pride and dedication as we have in the past.”
“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of the Reading, Ohio business conducted by Cincinnati Drum Services Inc. The acquired business will be transferred to our reconditioning facilities in Columbus, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky. We believe the combined businesses will enhance our ability to control cost and provide resources necessary to support the company’s continual improvement mandate while supplying customers with high quality products”, states Mr. Calvin Lee, ICS’ Chief Executive Officer and President.
